PRS held a press conference in Bissau at which senior leaders accused Prime-Minister Gomes of “unacceptable conduct”

PRS accused PM of  flouting electoral laws. It also held the Government responsible for the failure to commence voter registration as scheduled, which, according to the spokesperson for PRS, it blamed  on “administrative  incompetence”, stating  that  the  Prime  Minister  was “following a path of distraction and attempted fraud”ahead of the elections. PRS later joined  MADEM-G15  in  expressing  concern  that  the  Government  was  unfairly influencing the selection of agentsand monitors for the voter registration process along partisan lines.
