Closure of UNIOGBIS
The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS) completed its Security Council mandate on 31 December 2020
The dialogue will have the participation of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Guinea-Bissau, Rosine Sori-Coulibaly and the Deputy Representative and Resident Coordinator, Mamadou Diallo.
The signatories include high-profile heads of UN agencies, such as Tedros Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Winnia Byanyima, Executive-Director of UNAIDS, and Natalia Kanem, who runs the UN sexual and reproductive health agency (UNFPA).
In Guinea Bissau, they complain about the lack of protective material and greater support for doctors and nurses because the greater the number of health professionals infected, the greater is the impact on serving the population and lower will be the capacity to serve.
