The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS) completed its Security Council mandate on 31 December 2020
This week the Guinea-Bissau popular National Assembly approved the Law on Military Discipline by majority of votes- over 60-, but suspended the debate on the draft law of the Code of Military Justice, on the grounds that MPs need to conduct a deeper analysis.

Over 20 civil society organizations and networks in Guinea-Bissau, on 18 June, have approved a common agenda to promote for peace and sustainable development in their country and agreed to establish a coordination mechanism for joint action.
