The law, which established a minimum quota of 36% of women in the lists of candidates for elective office, was generally approved on August 2 of this year by the Guinean Parliament and should be enacted up to 60 days before the legislative elections. But it is still waiting for its approval in the specialty and, consequently, the entry into force, says Women Network.
