Closure of UNIOGBIS

The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea‑Bissau (UNIOGBIS) was established on 26 June 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 December 2020, subsumed to the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS).

Meeting GB international partners abroad

3 October 2014- SRSG Miguel Trovoada has begun this Friday a series of visits to the sub region and outside the continent. The objective is to meet with Heads of State and governments, with the message that Guinea-Bissau has demonstrated its firm determination to overcome challenges, through democratic means, dialogue and reconciliation.

Before leaving Bissau, Miguel Trovoada explained this to media, among other issues.
