The new government, the seventh under the presidency of Mario Vaz, includes 31 portfolios in its organic structure - 16 Ministers (including eight women) and 15 Secretaries of State (including three women).
The new Attorney-General was unilaterally appointed by President Vaz who, after several consultations with the Prime Minister, failed to agree on a consensus candidate.
